Leto Necklace

The Leto necklace is named for the goddess of motherhood in Greek myth, she birthed Artemis and Apollo under extreme duress, as she was banished by jealous Hera from giving birth on terra firma. She had to be strong and resourceful to journey to find a safe place (a floating island- not technically “firma”) to give birth. This necklace possesses the same strength in it’s heavy burnished gold tone chain, coupled with femininity and natural beauty in the strand of pink and green unakite beads. Come to think of it, it also required a good bit of resourcefulness- as do all of my creations- to create a unique piece of my own using what I have on hand or repurposing what I can.
